Hi there,
Let’s have a look at what I’ve been eating, shall we? =)
- Aree Alley – 2/1 Soi Areesamphan4, Phahonyothin Road, Samsennai, Phayathai; Bangkok, 10400 02-278-5325 (Would be a nice place to drink riesling or Sauvignon blanc while enjoying some Esarn food and the nice weather in their alfresco area, try not to facethe busy street though for a better ambiance.)
- You Yen – naebkehas rd, hua hin soi 51, Hua hin, Prachuap Khirikhan 032-531-191 (A pretty chill place for good seafood, always busy on the weekends so please make a reservation)
- Let’s Sea – 83/188 Soi Talay 12, Khaotakieb – Hua Hin Road, Prachuap Khirikhan 77110 032 536 888 (Really awesome place to grab some drinks and enjoy the sea breeze!)
- Erawan Tea Room – Erawan 494 Rajdamri Road, 10330, shopping complex zone 02-2541234 (Pricey but it has a large selection of super yummy Thai food, especially the desserts, the coconut creme brulee is my favorite!)
- 1897, Siam Kempinski Hotel – 991/9 Rama 1 Road, Pathumwan Bangkok 10330 · Thailand 02 162 9000 (It’s a good place to go relax in if you wish not to be seen since it’s so empty, but the place has pretty good cocktails and I’m talking a little more creative ones rather than just mojito, martini, and those ever too familiar names, the wine list is also pretty extensive but also pricey. Also, the sesame cracker with mayo that they serve as the bar snack is devilishly addicting.)
- Tsujita Ramen, Ramen Champion, Arena 10 (I don’t know if it’s just my palette that’s not used to eating this type of ramen but I found the thick pork bone soup very very oily and salty, I could not finish half of my dish while the Japanese tourists next to me asked for a refill of the broth. Although the egg that came with the ramen was very yummy!)
- Minibar Royale – 37/7 Citadines Bangkok SukhumVit 23 Bangkok 10110. 02 2615533 (Their new, I believe seasonal, dishes such as the squash soup and the foie gras creme brulee are so hearty and good! Oh fatty goodness!)
Bon Appétit!
