Merry X’mas นะคะทุกๆคน

ตั้งแต่นิดาจำความได้ วันChristmasเป็นวันโปรดที่สุดของนิดาในทุกๆปี ตอนเด็กๆนิดาต้องคอยเขียนจ.ม.ให้แซนต้าว่านิดาอยากได้ของขวัญอะไรบ้าง พอโตขึ่นมานิดาก็ update ขึ้นมาหน่อยโดยเปลี่ยนเป็นทำ wish list album ใน Facebook แทน แต่สิ่งนึงที่ไม่เคยเปลี่ยนนั่นคือ มันคือวันที่มีความสุขที่สุดของปีสำหรับนิดาค่ะ ในเมื่อช่วง christmas นั้นมีแค่สองวัน นิดาก็ต้องใช้เวลาอย่างคุ้มค่าที่สุดโดยการเริ่มแพลนงานเลี้ยงเป็นเดือนๆล่วงหน้าค่ะ หลังจากที่คิด theme งานแล่วก็เมนูเสร็จแล้ว นิดาก็เผื่อเวลาไว้สามวันสำหรับทำขนมและจัดดอกไม้ค่ะ มาดูกันดีกว่าว่านิดาจัดอะไรไปบ้างนะคะ

• Theme: Candy cane ค่ะ

• นิดาเลือกสี แดง ขาว และ ฟ้าturquoise เพื่อให้โต๊ะดูเหมาะกับขนมและเวลาน้ำชา สีที่อ่อนลงดูหวานและเด็กไม่น่าเบื่อเหมือนสีเขียวแดงของ christmas

• นิดาเลือกที่จะแต่งโต๊ะด้วยของทานได้เช่น candy canes marshmallows และ sugar cookiesค่ะ (Recipe HERE)

• การแต่งทุกๆมุมในบ้านแม้เพียงเล็กน้อยก็ทำให้ทุกอย่างดูเป็นเรื่องราวเดียวกันค่ะ ไม่ว่าแขกไปมุมไหนก็จะรับรู้ได้ถึ theme ของเราค่ะ

• นิดาเลือกที่จะทำให้โต๊ะขนมดูเป็น christmas มากๆโดนการใช้กล่องของขวัญมาตั้งขนมค่ะ

• สุดท้ายสำหรับดอกไม้ นิดายังคง look ความเป็นของขวัญอยู่โดยการนำโบว์สีแดงมาผูกรอบๆแจกันค่ะ และเลือกใช้สีขาวแดง ตอนนิดาไปปากคลองตกใจมากเพราะดอกไม้หมดเกลี่ยงเลยค่ะ พวกกุหลาบ ไฮเดรนเยียที่นิดาใช้ประจำไม่เหลือเลย สุดท้ายเลยตกลงซื้อดอกอื่นๆที่ราคาถูกกว่าแต่นำมาจับเป็นพุ่มแน่นๆแล้วดูสวยค่ะ เช่นเบญจมาศ และเลือกแต่งแจกันด้วยมะเขื่อเทศสีดาและดอกรัก

Merry X’mas everyone!

For as long as I can remember, the highlight of my year has always been Christmas. As a child, I looked forward to writing my wish list and waiting up for Santa Clause to deliver the presents under the Christmas tree. As a young adult (?) although my wish list has upgraded from a piece of paper addressed to santa to a Facebook wish list album with my loved ones tagged , one thing still remains the same, christmas is the happiest day of the year. As soon as Christmas is over, I start getting upset and counting down the days till the next Christmas. Therefore, given that 2 days is such a short period of time, I have to make the most out of it. I started planning my party well in advance and started prepping for the party 3 days beforehand. After 3 sleepless nights and more than 30 hrs spent baking, I am really happy with the turn out and can’t wait to share some tips with you all:

• Theme: Candy cane

• I chose red, white, and turquoise as my color palette because I do not like the typical Christmas red and green. Since I’m throwing a tea party, I think softer colors are more pleasant and suitable for desserts.

• I choose to decorate my tablescape with edible nibbles such as candy canes, marshmallows, and sugar cookies (Recipe HERE)

• I make sure that every corner of the house is decorated to tie everything to the theme, such as hanging mini stocking around the house and having snow flakes tapes on the glass door

• I keep the table decoration fun and festive by using gift boxes as dessert stands (varying height is always nice) and using glass jars to hold some desserts such as brownies and macaroni pops

• Finally, for flowers I used red and white and some ribbons. I went to the flower market and could not find any “grand” flowers like roses and hydrangeas, everything was reserved for hotel parties and weddings. So I went with lots and lots of cheaper flowers than can be bunched together to make a nice and full bouquet. I kept everything else simple and decorated with red ribbon to tie back to the present theme
