After eating way too much butter, cream, and carbs for an average human being on my recent trip, I’ve been finding myself gravitating towards more flavorful and spice-driven dishes. Apart from my truly beloved Thai staples such as various “Yum” and “Tum,” or more loosely categorized as Thai salad, Korean food has been on the top of my list. And I have now found a recent favorite! After frequenting Eu rim jeong in Ktown for a while, I first felt a little bit like a cheating girlfriend when I hovered over next door to “Doo Rae.” But my “Korean” friend swears by this place, and as she’s watched more Korean dramas and listened to more Kpop than any Thai I know of, I could not help but trust her. And let me tell you that the guilt quickly subsided and pleasure took over as soon as the first bite of perfectly grilled marinated Kalbi hit my tongue. Boy, was it so tender and delicious!!

Not only do they serve good quality beef here, they also have multiple sides for you to enjoy, and the good thing is they keep bringing more of it for you without a charge, a plus for a kimchi monster like me!

Last night when I was there we also got a complimentary steamed egg came in a sizzling pot and 2 shaved ice and ice cream for desserts. I could see a potential for our “relationship” to be long term already! (Side note: I have not broken up with Eu rim jeong since, IMO, their bu dae jigae is better.)

หลังจากที่นิดาได้โหมบริโภค ชีส นม และ ของอ้วนๆเลี่ยนๆทั้งหลายมาแบบเต็มอิ่มแล้วในช่วงเดือนที่แล้ว (ถ้าทุกคนได้เห็นจำนวนคัวร์ซองที่นิดาจัดการซะราบคาบแล้วอาจจะตกใจ) ตอนนี้นิดาเลยเกิดอาการเลี่ยนและอยากอาหารรสจัดอยู่ตลอดเวลาค่ะ นอกจากส้มตำเพื่อนยากของนิดา และเหล่าสารพัดยำทั้งหลายแล้วนั้น นิดาก็ยังชอบอาหารเกาหลีมากๆเลยค่ะ แต่ก่อนร้านโปรดของนิดานั้นคือ ยูริมจอง ที่ สุขุมวิท พลาซ่า หรือที่รู้จักกันว่า โคเรียนทาวน์นั่นเอง เพราะฉะนั้นนิดาจึงแอบรู้สึกเหมือนกำลังนอกใจเค้านิดๆตอนที่ตัดสินใจเลือกไปร้านข้างๆ นั่นก็คือร้าน ดูเร นั่นเอง แต่จะทำๆงๆด้ล่ะคะ ในเมื่อเพื่อนนิดาที่แทบจะแปลงสัยชาติเป็นเกาหลีอยู่แล้วนั้น ยืน นั่ง และ นอน ยัน ว่าร้านนี้เนื้อย่างเค้าสุดยอดค่ะ

แค่พอเดินเข้าในร้านแล้วเห็นลูกค้าแน่นเอี้ยดก็เริ่มใจชื้นแล้วค่ะว่าการตัดสินใจนอกใจร้านเดิมคราวนี้อาจจะคุ้มค่า และแค่พอใส่ตาลบิหมักซอสที่ย่างแบบพอเหมาะเข้าปากคำแรกเท่านั้นแหละ ลืมความรู้สึกผิดเป็นปลิดทิ้งค่ะ อร่อยมากจริงๆ ที่ร้านนี้พนักงานมาย่างให้ที่โต๊ะนะคะและคอยเปลี่ยนเตาอยู่ตลอด บริการได้รวดเร็วใส่ใจดีค่ะ

นอกจากนั้นแล้วพวกเครื่องเคียงต่างๆก็หลากหลายและเติมได้ไม่อั้น ซึ่งเหมาะมากสำหรับพวกมนุษย์กิมจิอย่างนิดาค่ะ และอาหารจานหลักอื่นๆของเค้าก็รสชาติดีค่ะ ไปลองทานกันดูนะคะ =)
